Texas trip
My roommate Joseph lives in Texas. He had a follow up laser eye surgery appointment in Texas last week. He asked me to go with him and I did. We both took 6 days off work. We were able to do this because it was before finals week so it was still considered off season. Sorry, I feel like I'm not writing that good or interesting. Maybe I'm not quite feeling this blog post. Oh well I'll continue and maybe make it shorter than normal.
Texas was an awesome trip. Spent most of the time in Fortworth Texas. Did fun stuff like I went to my first rodeo in the fortworth stockyards, and went through a human maze. Did a lot of walking and picture taking (I'll post some of the pics).
After 3 days we went to College Station, Tx where Joseph went to school at Texas A&M. That was probably the most fun of the trip. Just touring his campus and hanging out with his old friends. A very very relaxing trip for me! I never woke up earlier than 11am every single morning (guess I stayed on California time).
Former president George H. Bush Sr. loves Texas A&M college and even has his own library dedicated to him there. We toured the library and it was actually awesome! I loved it! Especially the section dedicated to him regarding the tearing down of the Berlin wall.
It was sad leaving Texas because I had so much fun. But coming home to California was still much fun because c'mon... California!
Interesting note: I spent 4 of the 6 nights in Joseph's mom's house in a room upstairs. The last night I stayed there they decided to tell me the room I had been staying in is haunted and has been haunted for quite awhile. Every person who has ever stayed in that room (with the exception of one other) has mentioned that something weird went on while they stayed there - from someone touching their face to the door mysteriously opening, to a ball rolling around the room to someone shaking them in the middle of the night - something always happens to overnight guests in that room. It almost sounds kinda fun right? :) haha but I didn't notice a thing. Heck I slept better in that bed than I do here.
Today (Monday) starts MY weekend! Hurray!

p.s. currently reading a book on WWI, WWII, and I Kissed Dating Goodbye :) haha
